Two points (2,3) screwed (16-19) to the top of the barrier (1) support horizontal bars (4,5) to which further bars (e.g. 8) are secured at right angles of carrying the lower edge (7) of the solar cell module (6) held up at an angle by two supports (12). A strut (11) is hinged (20,21) at its ends to the bars (e.g. 8) and to an inclined mirror (10) pivotable about a third hinge (15). The module and mirror can be rotated as a unit about a vertical axis, so that the appts. faces South (for application in the Northern Hemisphere), if the barrier is not so oriented.
