Food cooker fitted into dining table

The cooker (1) is fitted in a hole (5) in the centre of the table (2). The edge of the hole has a lip (6) to support a frame (7). The frame supports the hot plate (9). The frame has a peripheral trough (8) to catch cooking liquids that come from the hot plate. The underside of the table supports a suspended structure (10) with a flat base. The structure provides a shelf that supports a gas bottle (11). A burner (11) is fitted to the gas bottle. The burner is placed immediately below the hot plate. Alternatively, the heating may be provided by an electric heating element. A wire grid supported on legs fitting into holes in the frame (7) is positioned above the hot plate, and keeps warm previously cooked food. The grid may be fitted with a handle to allow food to be carried to another location.
