The manual, passive adjuster includes a worm gear (2b) arranged in a housing, which engages in mating teeth. The worm gear has a region which can be brought into engagement with a locking element. The locking region is arranged on ther worm gear and the locking element is formed as a sliding member. In one embodiment the sliding member engages with the locking region by friction. The locking region is arranged at the circumference of an end of the worm gear to which the sliding member is radially moved.
