The locking washer consists of two tongues (4,5) making radial projections and designed to be respectively folded against the two flats of the screw and the nuts after tightening up. The main annular part (6) of this washer consists of elastic deformations or undulations (7) provided perpendicular to its plane which deform with the tightening of the head of the screw or the nut so that the flats can line up with the tongues when they are folded when mechanically locking the head of the nut.
