The fixing piece (1) is made from blanked out and folded sheet metal with the first wing (4) provided with a hole (6) whose size is greater than the cross section of the support (2) over which it is inserted. A second wing (5) attached to and set at a right angle to the first wing (4) is provided with another hole (7) which is set at a distance from the first wing (4) and whose axis crosses the axis of the hole (6). A screw (8) passes through the hole (7) in the second wing (5) and is threaded through a nut (9) positioned on the inside of the wing (5), the nut is prevented from rotating by one of its flats engaging with the surface of the first wing (4). The screw is operated from its free end, extending outside the second wing (5), so that its point bears against the support (2) to block the support in the hole (6) provided in the wing (4) of the fixing piece (1).
