<p>Apparatus for electrostatically charging nonwoven sheets.. By electrostatically charging continuous fibrous material supplied from a source towards receiving means, via a path on the opposite sides of which an ion gun and an oppositely placed earthed striking are situated between the source and the receiving means, is characterised by the surface of the striking electrode opposite the ion gun being covered with a material having a resistance of between 1 x 106 and 1010 ohm at 65 degrees C. The apparatus enables the continuous fibrous material to be more efficiently electrostatically charged.</p> |
