The apparatus for cutting dam bars connecting between the mold flashes (3) and the external leads (5), includes a punch (11) having punch tips (11a) formd in arc shapes, the punch tips having edge portions (11b,11c) at both end parts, thereby minimizing the physical and mechanical impacts applied to the leads to prevent the nick of leads.
