PURPOSE:To prevent the surface layer of an electrifying roller from wearing and deteriorating due to its contact with a temperature sensor. CONSTITUTION:The temperature sensor 5 is movably supported, and is separated from the electrifying roller 3 when not detecting. A temperature is detected when a photoreceptor 1 is stopped. When not detecting the temperature of the electrifying roller 3, the temperature sensor 5 is positioned near to the surface of the photoreceptor 1. Alternatively, the temperature sensor 5 is fixed, and the electrifying roller 3 is movably supported and positioned so that when the electrifying roller 3 is moved apart from the photoreceptor 1, it comes into contact with the temperature sensor 5. |
