PURPOSE:To obtain the subject inhibitor, containing a compound expressed by a specific formula as an active ingredient and useful as a therapeutic medicine for diabetes and various diseases concerned with aging. CONSTITUTION:This inhibitor contains a compound expressed by the formula {R<1> is H, a lower alkoxycarbonyl-lower alkyl, a phenyl-lower alkyl or a (substituted)phenyl; R<2> is amino, phenylsulfonylamino or N=R<4> (R<4> is a lower alkylidene, a lower cycloalkylidene, etc.); R<3> is H, a lower alkyl, a lower alkenyl, a phenyl-lower alkoxy-lower alkyl, a (hydroxyl group-containing) phenyl, etc.; X is S, N(R<10>) (R<10> is H or a lower alkoxycarbonyl-lower alkyl); the symbol is single bond (A is carbonyl in this case) or double bond [A is =C(R<11>) in this case (R<11> is a lower alkyl, a lower alkoxycarbonyl-lower alkyl, etc.)]} e.g. 5-(4-benzyloxybenzyl)-2-isopropylidenehdyrazinoimidazolidin-4-one. |
