PURPOSE:To prolong available time by preventing transmission with and excess output and preventing useless consumption of a battery of the portable telephone set. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 11 makes calculation so as to decrease a transmission output P linearly in a transmission output range (levels P1, P2, P3) specified in a stepwise way based on demodulation data outputted from a reception circuit 10 and a digitally converted detection signal outputted from an A/D converter 14 and provides an output signal as the calculation result. Furthermore, an output signal (digital signal) of the CPU 11 is converted into an analog signal by a D/A converter 12 to be a DC reference voltage VREF, which is fed to an automatic gain control circuit 9. That is, the DC reference voltage VREF is reduced and a transmission output P is reduced linearly. Thus, the output is reduded within the transmission output range and futile power consumption is prevented. |
