<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate the elimination processing for the sheet jam by installing a first transfer means for transferring a sheet and the second transfer means which crosses at right angles with the transfer direction of the first transfer means and transfers the sheet in a second transfer direction directed to this side, on a sheet transfer passage. CONSTITUTION:A first transfer means 31 is constituted of a frame 1, conveyor belt 2, and belt driving rollers 3 and 4, and a paper sheet is transferred in the direction of arrow A on the belt 2. Further, a horizontal transfer roller 5 is installed as a second transfer member 32, and is revolved in the direction of arrow B crossing at right angles with the first transfer means 31 through a driving roller 6 by the operation of a motor 7. If a sheet jam detecting means 41 detects an anomaly during the copying operation, the paper transfer and other operations are suspended, and when the opening of each door of the body is detected by a door opening detecting means 43, the motor 7 is driven to turn the horizontal transfer roller 5, and the paper sheet is horizontally transferred in the direction of arrow B. Accordingly, the paper sheet can be removed without inserting a hand into the innermost side of the body 1.</p> |
