PURPOSE:To improve service and reliability by eliminating a possibility of preventing a train from running at a station even when the machine at the station fails, through a distributed total traffic control system. CONSTITUTION:Normally, the train route in a station is automatically managed and controlled by the train route control processing part 17 of a station controller 12 based on the total traffic diagram managed by a central unit 11. When abnormally happens and no total traffic diagram becomes available, the train route at the station is controlled by a manual route control processing part 18 by means of manual interference from the central unit 11. The distributed management of total traffic is carried out under normal conditions while the train route at each station is continuously managed by means of manual interference even when the station controller 12 fails, so as to minimize degradation of service and to improve the reliability of total traffic. |
