PURPOSE: To provide a driver-side gas bag restraining device for a vehicle improving an actuating effect by inhaling outside air during actuating, and releasing gas from a gas bag with controlling when a driver crashes into the gas bag. CONSTITUTION: In order to fill a gas bag 18 arranged on a hub of a steering wheel 16, a compressed gas container 12 is arranged close to the steering wheel 16. At an entrance to the steering wheel 16, a gas duct is sealed off by an annular sealing gap 30. The sealing gap is formed between a first gap defining surface formed on the hub of the steering wheel 16 and a second gas defining surface oppositely arranged on a wall 24A of the gas duct and being stationary in relation to a vehicular body without contact between these gas defining surfaces.
