PURPOSE:To mount a seat carried in a seat mounting station with its seat back folded on the upper side of a seat cushion on a car body by erecting the seat back. CONSTITUTION:A seat transfer device 5 is provided which carries in a seat 6 loaded on a seat pallet 13 to a seat mounting station and is provided with a seat support arm 19 to support the rear of a seat cushion 6B, a seat cushion holding member 35 to hold the upper surface of the seat cushion 6B, and a pusher plate 31 to push a seat back 6A in erecting direction relative to a seat 6 fixed by these members 19 and 35 on the seat mounting station.
