PURPOSE: To compensate a change in a control object or the like by calculating an intermediate value corresponding to a change in a discriminated signal when a web is carried, comparing it with a value detected in the first place, and adjusting it to a reference control value by a prescribed correction rate. CONSTITUTION: In the case of controlling a movement of another web 3 having different transparency after a material is replaced, signal contrast of a bright value of a circular light sensor 1 signal generated by a new material and a dark value is determined. Then, a new average value is calculated, and is adjusted so as to coincide with a reference control value. The dark value reduced by transparency of the material is increased up to a maximum dark value in an electronic signal processing control device 4, and when reduced signal deviation is expanded to maximum signal deviation, even a transparent material can be controlled by obtaining the initial designated maximum signal deviation. The ratio of maximum signal contrast determined at reference setting time to detected signal contrast is used as a correction rate, and therefore, all the parameters of an expanding point and a switching point or the like is automatically corrected. |
