发明名称 VEHICLE RUNNING CONTROL DEVICE
摘要 PURPOSE:To maintain smooth follow-up running even when a preceding car is temporarily lost, in a vehicle running control device to perform follow-up running as an intercar distance between a can and a preceding car is maintained. CONSTITUTION:An intercar distance sensor 10, a car speed sensor 12, a handle steering angle sensor 14, a throttle opening sensor 16, and a set switch 18 are mounted on a car and detecting signals therefrom are outputted to an ECU 20. From steering angle data, it is detected by the ECU 20 that a vehicle runs at a curve road. When intercar distance data is rapidly increased discontinuously and a preceding car is lost, control of follow up to a different preceding car is delayed by a given time. When right a preceding car is caught again, after transfer to original follow-up control, a throttle actuator 22 or a brake actuator 24 is controlled. Since follow-up control is delayed for a given time, smooth follow-up control is practicable without rapidly approaching the lost original preceding car.
