<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate a large steel tower or a support arm complicated in their structure, and also to eliminate the necessity of large-scale ground construction on the tower base part and of increase of the number of facilities. CONSTITUTION:An overhead power transmission line 4 is connected to the support arm 2 of a steel tower 1 through a series of tension-resistant insulators 3. Another overhead power transmission line 6 is connected to the overhead power transmission line 4 through a jumper line 5. The overhead power transmission line 6 is supported on the lower end of a long support insulator 7 hung and supported on the support arm 2, and is extended downward. The overhead power transmission line 6 is connected to an underground power transmission line 10 in the cable head 9 on the support arm 8 of the steel tower 1. A series of suspension type arrestor insulators 16, for which a plurality of arrestor insulators 17 are connected together in series, is connected to and supported on the support arm 8. A current-limiter element 27 is provided on the shade part of each arrestor insulator 17. The overhead power transmission line 6 is connected to the upper end of the arrestor insulators series 16, and the overhead power transmission line 6 is supported in a tense manner between the series of arrestor insulators 16 and the long support insulator 7.</p> |
