PURPOSE:To provide the developing device capable of stably forming high- quality images free from sweeping and thinning regardless of environments. CONSTITUTION:A falling regulation bias is used as a developing bias and the alternating electric fields of this bias have a first process (A) where the specified electric field for energizing a toner in a developing sleeve direction continues for the prescribed period of time, a second process (B) where the specified electric field for energizing the toner in a photosensitive drum direction continues for the prescribed period of time and a third process (C) where the electric field changes gradually for the prescribed period of time from the first process to the second process. Further, the device is provided with a means for changing the ratio DELTAT/T at which the time DELTAT shifting from the first process to the second process in one period T of the alternating electric fields according to temps. |
