<p>PURPOSE:To improve the fixing property and printing durability of a toner by containing a specific quantity of a specific component in an acid component and a diol component, containing a polyhydric alcohol as a polymer component and specifying glass transition point and toughness index. CONSTITUTION:This polyester resin is composed of the acid component- containing terephthalic acid as a main component and >=60mol% aromatic dicarboxylic acid per total acidic component, the diol component containing 10-60mol% aromatic diol expressed by a formula per aliphatic-diol and total acid component and 1-13mol% >=3 hydric alcohol component per total acid component. In the formula, R is <=3C alkylene group, X and Y are numbers satisfying 2<=X+Y<=7. And the glass transition point of the polyester resin is 60-85 deg.C and toughness index is 350-600mum. The lower alkyl ester of terephthalic acid, isophthalic acid or the like used as the acidic component is preferably dimethyl terephthalic acid or dimethyl isophthalic acid.</p> |
