CLUTCHLESS ONE SIDE PISTON TYPE VARIABLE DISPLACEMENT COMPRESSOR

PURPOSE:To prevent substantial speed-up of a compression effect after the starting of operation of a clutchless compressor and early deterioration of a slide-contact portion inside the compressor. CONSTITUTION:A swash plate supporter 14 is slidably supported on a rotary shaft 9. When an inclination angle of a swash plate 15 supported by the swash plate supporter 14 reaches to a minimum inclination angle, the swash plate supporter 14 pushes a transmitting cylinder 56 and a cut-off body 21 against spring force of a displacement return spring 36. The cut-off body 21 abuts against a positioning surface 55 when the inclination angle of the swash plate is minimum, thus cutting off communication of an intake passage 54 with an intake chamber 3a. The swash plate 15 is interposed between an intermediate inclination angle position and a maximum inclination angle position by the spring effect of the displacement return spring 36 in a compressor operation stopped state.
