Each layer comprises a no. of hatched board units (4) placed on top of one another to give the desired wall height and joined together by a flat strips (2) transverse to the units. The strips are each provided with a section that juts out from the board on one side and form vertical, overlapping rules on both of the wall layers. The opposing units in both layers are joined by spacing plates (6) to lock together the parts projecting from the strips by bridging the gaps between the two units in each wall layer and join them together.
