The combustion is controlled according to measured pressure fluctuations. Heat release fluctuation associated with the combustion is controlled. The control of the heat release fluctuation is effected by control of the ignition timing. The control of the ignition timing is effected by injection nozzles (12) of an auxiliary medium in the combustion chamber.
