<p>A control system for a casting machine for casting ferrous and non-ferrous materials is disclosed. The control system comprises: a) a means for monitoring the width or the depth of pigs that form in each mould (8) as the moulds (8) move along the path from the mould filling station (9) to the discharge station (11); and b) a means responsive to the monitoring means for ensuring that each mould (8) receives substantially the same amount of ferrous or non-ferrous material.</p> |
