<p>The invention relates to a method of tending golf greens by spreading onto the green a solution which selectively promotes the growth of grass and by cutting the grass short in order to obtain an even base for the game. According to the invention, a solution which contains one or a plurality of gibberellins, or a salt thereof, promoting selectively the height growth of the annual bluegrass (Poa annua), is spread onto the green in order to change the mode of growth of the annual bluegrass to vertical so that its panicles will be cut and the production of seeds will be prevented.</p> |
