Described is a liquid-metering pump with a pump chamber (2) whose volume increases during the aspiration stroke and decreases during the compression stroke and at whose upper end an air-vent valve assembly (15) is fitted. The aim of the invention is to improve the vent valve assembly in such a pump, in particular to design it so that it vents according to requirements. To this end, the valve assembly (15) has a flow-actuated valve (16) whose response behaviour is determined by the state of aggregation of the liquid flowing through it.
