Rotary storage rack with supporting bars between chains

The rack has two endless chains (7), which are spaced apart and have holders with locking devices (15) preventing inadvertent detachment of the bars (11). Each device has a control cam (19) actuated by a ramp (13) in its path at either side of the rack at the loading position. The ramps can be fixed in position on the rack, or can be movable between the inactive and working positions. The bolt (18) suspending the holder from the chain can be formed by a tube, while the cam can be formed by the end of a spindle axially in the bolt. The locking device can be formed by a radial component on the spindle, moved between the engaged and free positions by turning the latter. The spindle has a radial pin working in a cam groove, so that sliding movement causes it to turn.
