Tandem bicycle with divided frame

The bicycle has two pedal-crank drives one behind the other which act via first and second chain mechanisms on the rear axle. The second open frame section (7,9) telescopes or folds on the first closed one (1-4), being fixed in both the tandem and solo positions. In the solo position, one of the pedal-crank drives (22-25), and the first two-part chain drive (28,30,39-41), which is mounted on a folding support (35,36), in the open frame section (7), are detachable from the others. Both frame sections can have supporting tubes (2,8) telescoping one inside the other.
