<p>PURPOSE:To accurately and certainly measure the pressure of a molten resin, by directly measuring the pressure of the molten resin at the time of fusion through a pressure medium having a predetermined characteristic. CONSTITUTION:When the joint of a plastic pipe is fused by a resin, the joint 3 composed of a material having heat resistance against the resin to be fused such as a fluorocarbon resin and low heat conductivity is mounted to a part to be fused through a screw hole. The through-hole 5 in the joint 3 is filled with a pressure medium such as silicone grease having heat resistance, flowability and low heat conductivity and brought into contact with the resin melted by a heat generator at one end thereof while the other end thereof is brought into contact with a pressure gauge 7 and the pressure of the molten resin is directly measured by the pressure gauge 7. Therefore, pressure can be measured more accurately and certainly as compared with a conventional method of measuring the strain or deformation quantity of the joint.</p> |
