<p>The invention relates to a cosmetic composition for the first stage of an operation of permanent-reshaping of hair, containing an N-(mercaptoalkyl)alkanediamide or one of its cosmetically acceptable salts as a reducing agent, and to its use in a process of permanent-reshaping of hair.
