Injection moulded components covred with a surface layer of a thermoplastic material (9) provided by extruding (2) a sheet of the thermoplastic, the daylight of an injection mould, trapping (10) and cutting off a portion of the sheet (9) by closing the mould (4/5) and subsequently injecting (1) the material forming the bulk of the moulding. Esp. where the injection moulded mterial is expandable or foam forming and the sheet material is deformed to become a mould lining and provide an integral, smooth surface finish to the foam moulding.
