The invention provides a method of joining a body of crosslinked polyolefin to a body of non-crosslinked polyolefin comprising the steps of melting the surface of the non-crosslinked polyolefin body to be joined and heating the surface of the crosslinked polyolefin body to be joined and bringing together said melted and heated surfaces of the body under pressure and allowing the surfaces to cool and harden.
