<p>Solid soln. compsn. (I) comprises melt-mixed (a) low mol.wt. 2,2,6,6-tetraalkyl piperidinyl-gp. contg. cpd. (HALS); and (b) high mol.wt. HALS. Pref. the ratio of (i): (ii) is 1:1-1:20. Also claimed are (i) the prepn. of (I) by mixing 1pt. wt. (a) with 1-20 pts. wt. (b), melting the mixt. to form a soln. and then coding to form a solid soln.; (ii) a polymeric compsn. comprising (I) and a polymeric material; (iii) a method for stabilising a powder coating compsn. based on polyurethane, acrylic, alkyd and/or polyester resins (opt. crosslinked with melamine-formaldehyde resins, epoxide resins or polyisocyanates) against heat and light, by incorporating (I) into the resin, opt. with an acid catalyst or cpd. capable of releasing acid catalyst; and (iv) a powder coating compsn., based on resins as given in (iii), contg.
