A lighting fitting comprises a frame 3 for attachment to a ceiling and having downwardly and inwardly inclined bounding walls 35, and a light-transmitting enclosure 5 supported by the frame and having ribbed bottom and side walls 51, 53 and an inturned lip 54 through which light passes to illuminate the walls 35. Preferably the lip 54 is also ribbed. At each corner of the frame the walls 35 are joined by a fin (7, Fig. 5, not shown) having integral wings (71) which are welded to the walls. A sealing gasket (159, Fig. 8, not shown) may be positioned between the enclosure and the frame. |
