摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To restrain the hydraulic pressure of a wheel cylinder from abruptly rising when the supply of hydraulic pressure is changed over from a master cylinder into a hydraulic pressure source upon light braking. CONSTITUTION:A hydraulic pressure control device 44 which is normally set in a first condition such that a master cylinder is communicated with wheel cylinders in calipers 16, 17, is changed over into a second condition such that the servo pressure generated by a servo pressure generating device 46 as a high pressure source is reduced in accordance with a hydraulic pressure in the master cylinder and is then transmitted to the wheel cylinder. Since the hydraulic pressure of the wheel cylinders abruptly increases so that the ability of control for braking force deteriorates upon the above-mentioned change-over, a stroke simulator 56 is provided to avoid abruptly decreasing the hydraulic pressure. That is, the stroke simulator 56 restrains the hydraulic pressure of the master cylinder from abruptly increasing, and accordingly, the hydraulic pressure control device 44 can restrain the hydraulic pressure of the wheel cylinders from abruptly increasing. Further, even in the second condition, a foot pedal 10 can be depressed, thereby it is possible to enhance the ability of control for the brake force and the feeling of braking.</p>
