PURPOSE:To prevent white smoke while contriving the elongation of durability of an air preheater for preventing white smoke by a method wherein the temperature of a pipe wall, passing waste gas therethrough, is prevented from entering a low-temperature corrosion area. CONSTITUTION:Waste gas from an incinerating furnace 1 is cooled primarily in a water injection chamber 2, the waste gas, cooled primarily, is cooled secondarily by effecting heat exchange in an air preheater 3, the waste gas, cooled secondarily, is subjected to tertiary cooling by effecting heat exchange in a white smoke-preventing air preheater 5, the waste gas, cooled tertiarily, is purified in a dust collector 6, the preheated air in the white smoke-preventing air preheater 5 is joined upon releasing the purified waste gas through a funnel 7 and a preheater 4, cooling the preheated air of the air preheater 3 by effecting heat exchange between cooled air, is provided at the outside of a waste gas flow passage between the air preheater 3 and the white smoke preventing air preheater 5. The preheated air, cooled by the preheater 4, is supplied into the incinerating furnace 1 while cold air, preheated by the preheater 4, is used for heat exchange in the white smoke-preventing air preheater 5. |
