PURPOSE:To surely provide the waterproof structure of an air bag device for a hood which is arranged in an externally exposed manner. CONSTITUTION:In the waterproof structure of a hood air bag device where an air bag 6 is inflated and developed by the gas generated by an inflator 5 on the surface side of an engine hood 2, an opening part 12 is formed at the prescribed position of the engine hood 2, and the inflator 5 and the air bag 6 are stored in the opening part 1 2, and a back-up plate 3 which is open toward the surface side of the engine hood 2 is arranged and fitted to the opening part 12.
