Method for arranging a strip of adhesive tape 1 on an object, which tape is provided with a pull thread 2 running in the longitudinal direction, in such a manner that the adhesive tape 1 can easily be pulled off or torn through with the aid of the pull thread 2. To this end, according to the invention, the adhesive tape 1 with the pull thread 2 is cut through in such a manner that at least a section of the adhesive-tape end forms an angle with the transverse direction of the strip. This section is situated at the location of or in the vicinity of the pull-thread end. The pull-thread end is then easy to take hold of. The strip of adhesive tape 1 is advantageously cut through in such a manner that a pull-thread end which is easy to take hold of is formed at both ends of the strip. <IMAGE>
