PURPOSE:To easily clean the inner surface of the window glass in a sight glass monitoring the flow of a fluid in piping through circular window glass, by a method wherein a cleaning element cleaning the inner surface of the window glass is attracted to the magnet rotationally operated from the outside surface of the window glass to be rotated in connection with the magnet. CONSTITUTION:A sight glass is arranged on the way of piping and used in order to confirm the flow of the fluid flowing through the piping by observing the interior of the piping through window glass 9. When the inner surface of the window glass 9 of the sight glass is cleaned, the magnet 17 rotationally operated from the outside surface of the window glass 9 is provided and the cleaning element 14 cleaning the inner surface of the window glass 9 is attracted to the magnet 17. The cleaning element 14 is composed of a steel place 15 and the entire surface thereof is covered with rubber 16. The cleaning element 14 is rotated by the rotational operation of the magnet 17 while both end parts thereof are guided by the guide mechanism 13 formed to the inside of the window glass 9 to wipe off the contaminant on the inner surface of the window glass 9. |
