摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To prevent troubles such as shape change, drawing and so forth by setting upper and lower threshold values to a rolling load at the starting time of automatic plate thickness control and cutting the automatic plate thickness control when the rolling load exceeds its upper and lower threshold values. CONSTITUTION:The automatic plate thickness control AGC is turned on to commence rolling and when the plate thickness on the inlet side is enlarged after an elapsed time t0 it is modified by the operation of the AGC and when the plate thickness on the outlet side is held to a desired value, the rolling load increases. When the rolling load increases, a roll bender acts to prevent the shape of a steel strip from showing an edge wave. When the rolling load exceeds a set upper threshold value, the AGC is turned off at this time t1 (c) and the plate thickness on the outlet side comes out of a target value (b) but it is possible to prevent the shape of the steel strip from deteriorating extremely or a drawing from occurring. At a time t2 when plate thickness deviation decreases on the inlet side and the rolling load comes below the upper threshold value, the AGC is turned on again to reopen the rolling.</p>
