PURPOSE:To reduce dross and spatters sticking to the vicinity of cut part of a material to be worked. CONSTITUTION:When a material 50 to be worked is worked by irradiating with a laser beam 20, a uniform magnetic field pointing from the upside to the lower part of this paper, which is almost coaxial to the laser beam 20, is given on the lower side of the material 50 to be worked by a solenoid coil 8 installed in a dross removal device 6. Consequently, metallic grains causing dross and spatters are forcedly removed fro the rear of the working part of the material 50 to be worked by an electromagnetic force. Also, liquid is sprayed from a lower side in the working position of the material 50 to be worked from the spouting port 12 of the dross removal device 6. Further, assist gas is ejected from a nozzle 2 on the material 50 to be worked while rotating the assist gas in helical form. |
