<p>Continuous thermoplastic sheet materials is produced by (a) forming a regular pattern of projecting and deepened portions on at least one surface of thermoplastic sheet, and (b) drawing the sheet in two directions perpendicular to each other. The sheet material can be employed for the prodn. of nets by drawing out further along two axes, and heating the material so that the thinner portions tear through. The material can also be used as an insulating material, as a wrapping material for foodstuffs, and as protective layers for pressure sensitive tapes.</p> |
