PURPOSE:To obtain an optical data recording medium such as a write-once CD extended in preservation life and reduced in the deterioration due to reproduction, in an optical data recording medium wherein a recording layer and a protective layer are provided on a substrate, by adding a phthalocyanine compd. represented by a specific formula to the recording layer. CONSTITUTION:In an optical recording medium wherein a recording layer is provided on a substrate directly or through an undercoat layer and a protective layer is provided on the recording layer, a phthalocyanine compd. represented by general formula [M is a metal atom which may have two hydrogen atoms, halogen atoms or oxygen atoms or a metal atom which may have-(OR<5>)p or (OSiR<6>R<7>R<8>)q, R<5>-R<8> are respectively independently a hydrogen atom, an aliphatic hydrocarbon group, p and q are an integer of 0-2 and X<1>-X<4> are respectively independently an-OR<1> SiR<2>R<3>R<4> group] to the recording layer. By this constitution, high absorbing capacity and high reflectivity (refractive index) are obtained and the solubility in an org. solvent is enhanced. |
