PURPOSE:To obtain a transfer adhesive sheet excellent in removability by a method wherein an uncontinuous adhesive layer is provided between two release substrates, and a surface of the adhesive layer contacting with one of the release substrates has a roughness different from that of the other surface of the adhesive layer contacting with the other release substrate. CONSTITUTION:In a transfer adhesive sheet used for photocomposing, block copy forming, and the like, an uncontinuous adhesive layer is formed by finely dividing an adhesive layer, for example, into parts having an adhesive layer 1 and parts having no adhesive layer in an insular form. A surface of the adhesive layer 1 contacting with a release substrate 2 has a roughness different from that of the other surface of the adhesive layer 1 contacting with a release substrate 2'. Namely, the surface contacting with the release substrate 2' is roughened unevenly, and the surface contacting with the release substrate 2 is made flat or roughened with an unevenness smaller than that at the surface contacting with the release substrate 2'. The surface roughness of' the rough surface of the adhesive layer 1 is preferably 200mum or less in height. In this manner, a good removability can be obtained. |
