PURPOSE:To provide a reversible thermal recording material capable of forming and erasing an image in good contrast, capable of keeping an image stable with the elapse of time under daily living environment and excellent in the light fastness of a color erased part and a background. CONSTITUTION:In a reversible thermal recording material wherein a reversible thermal layer based on a usually colorless or light-colored dye precursor and a reversible coupler generating a reversible hue change in the dye precursor by heating and cooling continued thereto is provided on a support an undercoat layer of which the ultraviolet reflectivity at a wavelength of 350nm is below 20% is provided between the support and the reversible thermal layer.
