PURPOSE:To easily remove the clogging of slits caused by the stickiness of coating agent and feeder head metal by dividing a feeder head block into plural pieces so that the shape on the plane forms non-linear state and forming a gas vent vertical slit in each gap between the divided pieces. CONSTITUTION:The feeder head block 13 is divided into three pieces and the gas vent vertical slits 17, 17 are formed in the gap between the divided pieces 13a, 13b and in the gap between the divided pieces 13b, 13c. At the time of pouring molten metal, the gas in the feeder head space and a cavity is passed through these gas vent vertical slits 17, 17 and pushed out to the atmosphere through the gap between a holding plate and an upper surface of an upper plate. As the gas vent vertical slits 17, 17 are formed so that the plane shape of the feeder head block 13 forms non-linear state even if the feeder head block 13 is expanded caused by the heat at the time of pouring the molten metal, it is prevented to wholly stick to each gap of the slit forming surfaces 13b' of the divided pieced piece 13b, the slit forming surface 13a' of the divided piece 13a and the slit forming surface 13c' of the divided piece 13c. Then, even when the feeder head is invaded, as the projecting direction corresponds to the mold separating direction, this invasion does not become hinderance. |
