PURPOSE:To provide an inexpensive and highly reliable scroll compressor by segmenting a fixed scroll constituting a compression mechanism into a frame part to be fixed to other parts and an end plate blade part necessary for the compression, and forming the end plate blade part of the material of excellent cutting property. CONSTITUTION:A compression mechanism consisting of fixed and movable scrolls 25a, 25b is arranged in a closed container 1. A shaft 2c of the movable scroll 2b is inserted in an eccentric bearing 6 of a crankshaft 5. In addition, a rotor 7a of a motor 7 is fitted to the crankshaft 5, and arranged to the lower part of a bearing part 4 together with a stator 7b. In this constituiton, the fixed scroll 25a is segmented into a frame part 25d fixed to the bearing parts 4 and an end plate blade part 25e to form the involute, and these are tightened through the sealing member. The end plate blade part 25e is formed of the material of excellent cutting property such as eutectic graphite cast iron and aluminum alloy.
