PURPOSE:To provide a diaphragm type air pump which can easily detect the water level of a basin and abnormal conditions of the air pump in the dia phragm type air pump to supply air to a live fish tank, a septic tank or the like. CONSTITUTION:A diaphragm type air pump is provided with a sensor 32 which is directly connected to an air supply passage of the diaphragm type air pump body 10 to supply air by the excitation of an oscillator connected to the diaphragm by an electromagnetic coil, and a back pressure detector 30 to detect the back pressure in the air supply passage by the signal of the sensor 32 and a control signal generating circuit 40 to generate the control signal according to the signal of the back pressure detector 30 are provided. |
