PURPOSE: To generate a strong air impact with the simple structure of an air cannon used for removing the adhered powder and granular materials or deposited powder and granular materials in silos, heat exchangers, conduits, etc., by the air impact. CONSTITUTION: A compressed air accumulated in a pressure vessel of the air cannon arrives at a range of an adhered powder and granular material or deposited powder and granular materials through a discharge valve 3 and an outflow nozzle 11 succeeding thereto and peels the same. The discharge valve 3 has a valve housing 9 and a piston 19 which is guided in a longitudinal direction along a guide part 18 and receives a rapidly droppable closure pressure on its rear surface. The piston 19 has an annular valve sealing surface 25 at the front surface near the outflow nozzle 11 and the pressure in the outflow nozzle 11 acts on the inner side of the valve sealing surface 25 at the time of closing of the discharge valve 3. The pressure in the pressure vessel acts on the outer side of the valve sealing surface 25. An annular passage 17 connected to the pressure vessel is formed between the valve housing 9 and the guide part 18 for the piston 19. When the discharge valve 3 is opened, the annular passage 17 is communicated without the outflow nozzle 11 in the form of a perfectly cylindrical opening 39. |
