PURPOSE:To prevent particulates from entering a bearing which supports a bearing case to a differential gear case by forming a through hole on a lower portion of a bearing case, and discharging the particulates generated by the biting means for the engagement and disengagement of the differential gear case and a shifter to the outside of the bearing case. CONSTITUTION:In a differential device, a differential gear case 6 is rotatably supported to a bearing case 3L of a mission case 1 by means of a bearing 4L. An output shaft 6L to be connected to a brake device 7L is inserted into the differential case 6. A differential lock means is arranged between the diff case 6 and the output shaft 6L for the engagement and disengagement of the differential gear case 6 and the output shaft 6L. The differential lock means is composed of a hydraulic piston 13 fitted to the bearing case 3L in a bilaterally slidable manner, a shifter 14 which is slid on the output shaft 6L thereby, and a biting means 20 for the engagement and disengagement thereof. A through hole 21 is formed on the lower portion of the bearing case 3L for discharging particulates generated by the biting means 20 through lubricating oil.
