<p>PURPOSE:To provide a motion detection circuit and the television receiver provided with the motion detection circuit for reducing the erroneous decision of still pictures and moving images and for preventing the erroneous decision caused by titles or the like. CONSTITUTION:A motion detection circuit 1 detects motion by calculating difference between a composite video input signal and a composite video signal delayed two frames by frame memories 3 and 4. On the other hand, a motion detection circuit 2 detects motion by calculating difference between the composite video input signal and the composite video signal delayed by the frame memories 3 and 4 respectively. Corresponding to the output of the motion detection circuit 1, a decision circuit 5 performs control so as to select a selection circuit 7 with an output, for which the outputs of the motion detection circuits 1 and 2 are added, as a motion detect signal in the case of motion presence or with the output of the motion detection circuit 1 as the motion detect signal in the case of motion absence.</p> |
